Reasons You Should Buy a Scrapbooking Kit

Perhaps I’m preaching to the choir here, but this content is swiped from an excellent article I found at scrapbookingdaily.com

1. Subscriptions save you time
No more worrying about driving through traffic, spending time browsing the aisles of a store and waiting for the cashier to scan every sheet of patterned paper.

2. Subscriptions save you money
Don’t worry about paying for gas. Don’t worry about being tempted to buy all those other items at the scrapbook store. Instead, you get product sent to you that coordinates well and can get you scrapping a few layouts! It helps to get a little sample of lots of different products and manufacturers so then you can try them out.

3. Subscriptions inspire you to try new things

4. Subscriptions provide you with the “hot” products
Most monthly scrapbooking kit clubs stay up to date on what new products are being released when.

5. Subscriptions are your own personal shopper
My local scrapbooking store is organized by manufacturer. It is often difficult and time consuming for me to mix and match products from different manufacturers simply because of the layout of the store and the fact that I’m just not that great at mixing and matching. I admit it. I’d rather have somebody else doing all that coordinating for me!

6. Subscriptions are a GREAT gift idea
Do you have friends who are difficult to buy for but like to scrapbook? Is your mother-in-law always asking for ideas of what to buy you? It is easy to give (and receive) a monthly kit subscription.

7. Subscriptions open doors to other opportunities
There are usually blogs or message boards at monthly scrapbooking kit club sites. Visit these on a regular basis, share your projects, discuss with other scrappers. Usually these sites are a closer knit group than general scrapbooking sites. You may find opportunities for you to design, contests (run by the club) and even some really great scrapbooking friends.

8. Subscriptions sometimes offer EXCLUSIVE items
This is an additional reason because not all of the kit clubs do this. However, there are often exclusive patterned papers, acrylic stamps or other items that are just found in these kits or offered to subscribers.

9. Subscriptions are another thing to look forward to
There is anticipation for scrapbooking club kit reveals (often the club owners will give sneak peeks before the actual reveal). Then there is the anticipation on ordering day to get the add ons. After you purchase the kit there is the anticipation of receiving the kit. Come on, with all the busy happenings in your life it is always nice to have things to look forward to!

Speaking of subscriptions, now that you’ve had a chance to see what we are about here at Gauche Alchemy, I think it’s time to roll our our subscriptions in time for the holidays.  How much easier can it get than clicking on PayPal to get your holiday shopping done?  How much easier could a wishlist be than a link to your favorite kits?

Details will be posted in the next few days.  Feedback from you, our faithful followers, is always welcome.  Tell us what YOU want, and we’ll incorporate your ideas.
