Getting Cross with Erika

A bare piece of wood always calls Erika’s name.
The altering kind that is! Get your minds outta the gutter girls!!!

A few months ago, I purchased a bunch of alterable items and wanted to make something that was a little more spiritual. This cross worked perfectly. I created a mosaic look using some of the wallpaper bits and the It’s All Gravy Baby! Brown Kit then decoupage them down with Mod Podge.

The “rosary” was created using beads from 3 color kits: Pink Parts Kit, It’s All Gravy Baby! Brown Kit and Wedding Night White Kit.

The final part of the cross, are the thorns on the bottom, which I fussy cut out of a card that was in the It’s All Gravy Baby! Brown Kit as well.

The cross itself is painted with Pearl Paint Dauber and Copic Marker.

I really like ripping paper up. I do it with junk mail, flyers and bills that I don’t wanna pay. Just kidding on the last one. The mosaic technique is an easy one to accomplish and it really makes a statement when used with PANACHE!

Until Next time everyone.
