Gauche Alchemy Is Scrapping the Music!

Hey y’all, Maggi here with a BIG announcement for you scrappy scrapbooking scrappers! 😀

But first, we have a winner for our Mixed Media Mamas Challenge! And our winner is Deb for this awesome layout:

Congrats Deb!!! Please e-mail your address to us at: gauchealchemy at cox dot net! Thanks to everyone that participated, we’ll have another challenge for you soon! 😀

Now for our big happy fun time announcement!  Gauche Alchemy is pleased as punch to be sponsoring this week’s challenge over at Scrapping the Music! From the Scrapping the Music blog:

“Scrapping The Music is a weekly challenge blog. New challenges are posted every Wednesday evening. Layouts must be received by the following Tuesday at midnight (12:00 AM) central time to be included in the slide show and voting.”

The first Wednesday of the month is when they feature a song from a movie and this month it’s Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing”.

And believe me, my fine creative readers, you will want to head over and scrap along because this is what we’ve put together for Scrapping the Music to give away to one lucky challenge participant:

Included: custom LP mini-album, vintage “circle-o-keys” tool, rubber stamp sentiment, vintage sheet music, vintage-themed wallpaper swatches, childrens book pages, dictionary pages, punchinella swatches and custom note shapes, vintage Sears catalog pages (cameras, instruments), Japanese dictionary pages, Cosmo Cricket Fleuriste papers (mini)

Ooooo gimme gimme gimme! Wait, I’m on the Design Team so I’m not eligible! Nerts! 😀 But the prompt was so fun some of us DT played along anyway and here’s what we did:

Yvonne (who also designs for Scrapping the Music) created this layout embellished various pieces from our Mixed Media Color Kits:

Angela created this layout using papers and mesh from the Wholey Sheet Kit, as well as a couple of elements from the Wedding Night Mixed Media Color Kit. The “Just” in the title was stamped using Technique Tuesday stamps on the bottom portion of a sheet of Ouchless Cardboard that she pulled apart, then chalked for color, cut out and adhered to the page:

I made my layout using pieces from the Pink Parts and Wedding Night Mixed Media Color Kits and some Ouchless Cardboard:

Erika created this layout using pieces from our Wholey Sheet Kit:

Now go play along with Scrapping the Music and glue something awesome onto some awesome something! 😀
