Kas likes it in small spaces…

I wanted to kick off my Getting Organized posts for the month with a little bit of how I organize my Gauche Alchemy products.  Back in October, I included a picture of how I organize my paper kits.

The envelopes are then placed into an Iris scrapbook folder file. (more on that later this month)

I love putting the papers need into the envelopes because it makes them easier to keep neat and to reference when I use them in a project….but what to do with all the fun little stuff?

I have two methods.  The first is by color.  I use sorter boxes that are more commonly used for embroidery thread.  I like the kind with adjustable compartments (because you NEVER know what you will get in a GA color kit!).

Of course…not everything will fit into compartments, so I have a back up….  Stacking boxes.

One is labeled Gauche Kits the other is called More Stuff.

I use ziplocks to package up the parts of the kits that don’t fit into tiny neat compartments.  Or fun little objects that come in a themed paper kit (like Kitch Delish)

I also want to show you how I organize a few other things.   The clear plastic sorter on the top has mini-bags with specific letters that are left-over from other sets/kits.  It is kind of nice when you need a “B” to find a B that way.   Keeping with the Alpha theme….right below I have a sorter that has alpha stamps.

I have it organized sort of like a telephone.  Drawer #1 has ABC…etc…  Now it just happened to work out that way with this sorter.  The little drawers beside it have embellishments divided by silver-gold- and other.

My next post this month you will share my organizational journey.  I am determined to get more organized so that I have room to craft and that I can find the supplies I want.  Stamps are in my next post…and it is going very well so far!

  3. Love the idea of this. I use those plastic boxes for my beads but looking at the picture I think mine must be a lot smaller and I’ve never seen them with movable walls. I will have to keep an eye out! Fab post Kas!

  4. Wow! You’re so organized Kas! Love how those embellies look in those boxes! 🙂
