Steph Likes It Scheduled!

Yeah, not that.  Spontaneous is ALWAYS better.  =D

I’m talking about my crafty life…. you know, DT assignments, birthdays I need to remember to make cards in advance for, so they actually make it to the recipient in time for their birthday – not 2 or 3 weeks after the fact (*ahem.  Sorry Dad.*)

I found this baby at Wal Mart for like, $0.25.  It’s a damn shame there were only two, ’cause I would have happily bought about a zillion of them!  They’re completely blank, and it’s about 50 sheets of blank calendary goodness – ahhhhh, love!  The only two they had were orange – which is partly why I suspect they were on clearance… but does it really matter if the orange is just on the inside?!  (Well, ok, if you’re me, it does.  That’s why my cover looks like this:)

I started with knowing I wanted to use orange and went from there.  What better to pair it with than pink and black?!  There’s a whole variety of stuff on this cover – and a whole slew of products from varying companies – everything from Bombshell’s Cherry Bomb Stamp to play money, buttons, and bead trim from GA’s Pink Parts Kit, to PTI cardstock, patterned paper and their Take Note stamp set, to Basic Grey paper, to lace from the Dollar Store spritzed with Mimosa Glimmer Mist, to a flower from GA’s Lady Marmalade Kit…and some PTI felt, SU! ink, and Spellbinders dies!  Holy mix-n-match, Batman!  Didn’t think it looked like much on there, huh?!

I super loved how I was able to mix the Take Note ‘THINGS TO DO’ sentiment with the perfectly placed ‘50,000’ on the play money – how fun of an element is that, especially on a ‘to do’ calendar?!

Hey listen – hear that?

BEEEP  BEEEEP, BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP, BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP.   BEEEEP.  (Ok, never mind.  I’ve never experienced the ‘We interrupt your programming for this very important breaking news’ type messages in real life.  Pretty sure they’re before my time…

Anyway – here’s what I was getting at:

Have you noticed?  We’ve switched to posting Monday through Friday – and to having an ‘open’ monthly theme, in order to unify the blog content and make reading – and finding older posts – easier on you!   We’ll also be introducing a new Guest Designer each month – we’re letting Carmen loose the first Thursday of the month, followed by some really awesome posts from our guests on the remaining ones!

Obviously, this month’s theme has been ‘Getting Organized’.  What does that mean to you?  Have you got any special organizational tricks up your sleeve?  Be sure to upload any of your organizational projects to the GA Flickr group – and be sure to let us know if any of our desiners projects have directly inspired you!

Just because we all like surprises, be sure to leave our girls some love from time to time – you never know when we might decide to be a little *spontaneous* around here and choose a random winner to receive a little GA love!  (Oh yeah – and you may return to your regularly scheduled program now… or however that goes!)

On another note – have a wicked weekend – scheduled or not – and we’ll see ya back here on Monday with some awesome organizational something, Yvonne style!
