Amy Tsuruta gets tricky with the Wholey Sheet Mixed Media Kit

Amy Tsuruta here…I’m thrilled to be the:

I live in the state of Washington with my 2 kids.  I work full time and try to squeeze as much creative time in as I can.  I’ve been blogging since 2007 and would never have realized how much I would enjoy it!

I put together this collagey card using a bunch of Gauche Alchemy goodness:

The Ouchless cardboard is so much fun to play with. I love the wonderful texture it gives a project. I have a horizontal panel and I also used it at an angle with the Tim Holtz Sewing Room Die. TIP: using the cardboard at different angles adds more interest to your project.

I wrapped the horizontal Ouchless cardboard panel with a gorgeous piece of lace from the Lace Ribbon Variety Pack (new in store!)…

The bingo sheet is from the Wholey Sheet Mixed Media Kit. The ‘dress’ on the dressform is a sheet of asian book text from the Wholey Sheet Mixed Media Kit. I laid the star punchinella on the text page and used it as a mask with Memento Lilac Posies. Live and learn, I originally inked up the punchella directly with my Memento dew drop, umm…TIP: use a sponge dauber….it works much better:)

Do you see the bloom? I distressed the coffee filter from the Wholey Sheet Mixed Media kit with Memento Desert Sand and proceeded to fold it several times. I then used 2 different sizes of my Spellbinders Blossom. I layered the 2 different sizes {alternating the sizes} and then inserted a brad in the middle. I finished up the bloom by crunching up the petals.

There is a sheet of white shrink plastic in the Wholey Sheet Mixed Media kit…I lightly sanded it and inked up the Inkadinkado image with black StazOn. I heated up the image with my heat gun and distressed it with Memento Rich Cocoa. TIP: the bigger the image the better, the cameo image started off as 3.5 x 5 inches and is now 1.5 x 2 inches.

The black flourishes are from my stash.

I’ll be back again next week with a fun little project that I have up my sleeve!
Wow! That’s a whole lot of Wholey Sheet goodness there! And guess what? The Wholey Sheet Mixed Media Kit is going at 25% this weekend at the GA Artfire store!
