Deb’s amazing altered book for babies.

the little cover details hint at what's inside...

Hi everyone

Ngaire  here.  hope the day is treating you well?

I have a little story for you today…

are you settled and comfortable ?

Then we will begin.

“Once upon a time there was a very clever artist called Deb Hill who was a Gauche Alchemy design team member.

The Magical Deb Hill.

She decided to go back to school, work full time , and be the Mama to two beautiful little girls. This, of course, was a very full load for the Mama Deb, but in her spare time ( !!!) she found an old book cover lying lost and unloved at Gauche Alchemy Central. This book had donated all it’s pages to fabulous kits and thought she was at the end of her useful reading life. But Deb could see the potential of the pretty red cover, and with the magic in her fingers and the cleverness inside her head, she took the old book, and made it new again.

what an amazing gift for a friend!

… with some ink and some organza ribbon, a hole punch and of course, glorious pieces of yumminess from the Gauche Alchemy Shoppe, Deb took that old book, and made it beautiful…

the last page of the story book.

Each of  the wonderous new pages were unique and pretty, and JUST RIGHT for the parents of a new brand new baby to record their hopes and dreams and loving thoughts for their wee one.

just look at the sweetness in these pages..

Such time and effort were put into the pages, Deb was gentle and sweet with her ministrations, and when she was done, the book smiled to herself, for she knew she was once again to become a beloved part of a new family.

and they all lived happily ever after.

“The End.”

until next time..
