Mini Book project from Wendy Morris

Hi everyone! Michelle here!

Today I want share a wonderful mini book project from Wendy Morris of the fabulous blog Scrapnspire.

Wendy used our now discontinued Lush kit to make this beautiful mini but this look can also be achieved using either the Bare Nekkid Mixed Media Paper art kit, the  Nearly Nekkid Kit  Mixed Media Paper kit or the Acme subscription both which provide plenty of beautiful neutral tones and embellies for any theme you may want to tackle .

Here Wendy uses an umbrella from the Lush kit, punchinella as a stencil and our corrugated board to make the covers of her wonderfully punky travel memories mini.

This was one of several projects Wendy designed as part of a huge Gauche Alchemy feature over at Scrap News and  You can check it out HERE.

PLEASE NOTE: You will need to subscribe in order to review and comment on the projects but it’s definitely worth the few minutes it takes to sign up.

I will also be posting more of these projects as the month wears on.

The tag, the eye photos and the punched out circles are all from the Lush kit. LOVE those fabric brads, the ripped corrugated board and stamp work here!

See that COOLIO martini bling and those wonderful vintage alky ads? LUSH kit baby!

Looks like Wendy had a grand old time visiting the great cities of Europe- JEALOUS!!!

The film strip, music print tape and black plastic alphas are all Tim Holtz products. I really love how Wendy mixes actual self portraits and advertising images here. Also love how she used punchinella to stamp some texture into that red card stock.

Some would say minis are tough because they require extended assembly time and matching. Here Wendy has shown that repeating random patterns over a project will reduce the need to match colors or stick to a specific theme- anything goes- and it goes beautifully.

  1. Wow Wendy! This mini album is amazing! I love how you used your pictures and mixed them with the vintage ads. I keep going back and looking at it all again and again. Every time, I see something new. You worked amazing magic with the “Lush” kit.

  2. I really like all the texture. It comes off as grunge like which is where I have been playing lately. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Thanks so much everyone!!! 😀

  4. […] Mini Book project from Wendy Morris – 1 freebie(s)? […]

  5. Everyone over and Scrapbook News and Review did such an amazing job with the Gauche Alchemy kits. If you haven’t been over to the forum yet, you really should go. There are other, equally amazing projects over there – I’ve been meaning to give a shout-out to the designers for quite some time. And actually, I don’t think you have to subscribe – just go to the forums and look for the Gauche Alchemy event.
